You know, no
one has really asked me that unless they were wanting a
second opinion. When I hear a customer tell me that a
different "computer technician" (term used very
loosely here) suggests that's the only way to fix the
problem, I will tell them to RUN! Obviously, who ever they
are, they have no business trying to fix a computer!
Me
personally, this is partially why I started this company. I
want to always know "why?" Why does it do that? Why does
this happen? What is causing that weird error? What happens
if you cut the blue wire instead of the re------
Ok, so
seriously. It really pains me to think of who considers
themselves an actual "computer tech" just because they've
had some dumb luck getting viruses and spyware on their
computers and managed to fix it. In some cases it's really
not that easy. I have taken computers back to my house and
worked on them for DAYS on end when something new comes out
that can't be fixed with normal means, then I'll find out
what is causing the problem, and find out what it really
takes to fix it. I know I'm going to run into it more than
just the one time and because of that, I want to be prepared
for that next time.
Anyway, to
make a long answer short, no, you don't have to. In fact, if
your computer can boot all the way into Windows, then you
will not need to reinstall Windows to fix a problem. That's
just the facts. So again, if someone tells you otherwise,
thank them for their time and kick them out....then call us
so we can fix it right!
