We repair all kinds of
laptop problems. Broken or cracked LCD screens
replaced, broken power jack (DC power jack) repaired
also. Maybe you can faintly see your icons on the
screen but there's no light shining through? In that
case, the inverter that powers the backlight is
burned out and we can replace that too. Even if you
need the cooling fans replaced or swap out a dead
motherboard.
**PLEASE NOTE** -- We DO
NOT stock parts for laptops or desktops. We
only order parts as necessary for repairs. However, if
you still need help in locating a part to repair
your system, please send us an email with the
specific make and model of your system, as well as
the part you need, and we will try to locate it for
you.
Labor rates for laptop
repairs:
Laptop labor rates are quite a bit higher than
desktop labor rates when it comes to hardware work
or replacement. Why? Because most every time
hardware is required to be replaced (when it's not a
hard drive or RAM) it requires to have several
dozen tiny screws to be removed in order to
access the hardware. Plus, things have to be removed
in a very specific order and replaced in the exact,
reverse order.
LCD or inverter replacement: $100*
* Please note -- average cost of a new LCD by itself
is $235 - $275
bringing the total replacement cost (parts & labor)
around $335 - $375
Motherboard replacement: $175 and up**
** Average cost of a new / replacement motherboard
itself for a laptop
is approximately $200 and up.
DC power jack repair: $150***
***Rarely does the actual jack itself need to be
replaced--usually it's just come un-soldered from
the motherboard. If it does, however, the part
usually isn't much more... maybe $10-25 depending on
the laptop.
Cooling fan replacement: $100 plus
the cost of the fan(s)

laptops. As of right now, we don't typically offer
services on Mac systems, but please call us with the
details of the problem and we'll see what we can do
