What is a
Zero-day virus (or spyware)? Also called a "0-day" virus (or
spyware)?
Quite simply
put, it's a virus or spyware that a fix hasn't been released
to the public yet. Whether that means that it hasn't been
reported to "the powers that be" as far as anti-virus
companies or maybe they know about it but just don't know
how to prevent / remove it yet.
ThreatFire
is very good to
detect and quarantine these types of programs.
